Peppercorn Stud was founded in March 1996 with 5 females, 1 calf
and 1 bull (Gwaiwunda Dennis). Original female bloodlines
were Quamby Park, Clan McLaren, Hawkshead and Budawang
(PTIC). Laurella Downs was introduced in 1998. The
calf from the PTIC cow was Peppercorn Rosco.

The first
artificial insemination semen used was direct from
the UK out of Mochrum Kingfisher. This magnificent
specimen of the breed has won Male Champion at the
Royal Highland Show in 1996 ,'97, and '98 and Reserve
Breed Champion in 1997 and '98. His progeny have had
similar successes.
